13. Plot & Story

Now is the time to really get to think about your content. You start by deciding upon a story which would be transmitted by the entire movie for which you are creating just the film opening this year.

For ex., "a story of youth - living life to the full and having courage to take on opportunities that come to you".

Then, you need to describe in as much detail as possible for now, the plot - what happens in the film opening itself, what do we see?

For ex., for the story above - "2 friends holding hands before jumping off a cliff with bungee jumping ropes. Narrator voice: But let me show how I got here, at the end of the world. I seem fearless, right? Well, I wasn't like that. And then image rewinds and shows the same character alone in his/her room, drawing very focused. Phone rings, doesn't take the call. Messages coming in....... " and then continue for some more scenes the whole film opening.

Reminder - there is a difference between plot (what you see) and story (what you understand, the theme/phylosophy behind the image)

How to use this blog

This blog is, in terms of structure, a mirror of the blog you will create this year. Follow all instructions stated in each post.

Have a brilliant idea? Changed your mind? A specific director's films inspire you? You are enthusiastic about the great photos you took yesterday? Great! You can write all about them in separate posts on your blog.

You should have on your blog at least all the posts that you find here. Of course, you can add extra ones, as you see fit.

Remember: Post it on the blog, or it didn't happen!
