22. Budget

As any creative work, it requires investment of various resources: time, attention, energy...and money.

For Major Task

You can use the following template to complete a budget list for your music video/short film/trailer/documentary:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v3_GGODOWfkpnaFH_4bRb7yqkIT7BtFLaWbEifjChNo/edit?usp=sharing

Make a copy of it and complete it for your own work.

Of course, you might not need to complete all the lines in it, it is important for you to look at all the aspects that are usually put in a media production budget, to learn about how filmmaking takes place in real life situations.

If there are any terms unclear, Google them and learn more about what goes into budgeting.

Also, you can read more on how to complete the spreadsheet and what goes into budgeting, here:

For Minor Tasks

Add in this post a list of all the costs you are actually going to have for creating the digipak/poster/film postcard/amagazine article this year - expenses with models, catering and transport, location for photoshoots, and any other costs.

How to use this blog

This blog is, in terms of structure, a mirror of the blog you will create this year. Follow all instructions stated in each post.

Have a brilliant idea? Changed your mind? A specific director's films inspire you? You are enthusiastic about the great photos you took yesterday? Great! You can write all about them in separate posts on your blog.

You should have on your blog at least all the posts that you find here. Of course, you can add extra ones, as you see fit.

Remember: Post it on the blog, or it didn't happen!
