16. Location Recce

You need to scout for various locations that you can film in - to match your story, plot and script. Also, be easy to reach and conforming to health and safety standards.

Put in your post photos* of the various locations you want to take into consideration.

Then, for each write answers to this question, separately for each:

  • Why is this location appropriate/not appropriate for your genre and audience?

Then, present your final location decisions and explain why are those the most suited.

*ideally you need to go and visit the places before going to film. If that is not really possible, and you know already the locations very well, you can take photos off Google Maps.

How to use this blog

This blog is, in terms of structure, a mirror of the blog you will create this year. Follow all instructions stated in each post.

Have a brilliant idea? Changed your mind? A specific director's films inspire you? You are enthusiastic about the great photos you took yesterday? Great! You can write all about them in separate posts on your blog.

You should have on your blog at least all the posts that you find here. Of course, you can add extra ones, as you see fit.

Remember: Post it on the blog, or it didn't happen!
